In conjunction with South West College, we are offering a Apprenticeship Program for School leavers or those who wish to return to education alongside having secure employment. You will be studying towards a third level qualification, a Foundation Degree in Engineering alongside on the job training as an Apprentice Test and Development Engineer within the Terex Ecotec Engineering department in Terex Dungannon. Therefore earning while you study and developing a career with a leading global organisation!
The Test & Development Apprentice Engineer will be involved in a wide range of activity's in relation to the prototype machines including the following:
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
To maintain compliance to all health and safety regulations
Completion of test plan items
Initial mechanical and hydraulic testing
Machine clean down in prep for re-work
Machine strip/re-work/re-build including mechanical, electric and hydraulic components.
Work with Test and Development Engineers and Design Engineers to develop and refine the prototype machines
Report back/highlight any issues fount while completing re-work or design improvements.
Replace/repair any worn or damaged parts including wear liners to leave machines in good working order to continue the test process or as part of preparation of the machine for sale at the end of testing.
Ensure compliance to all general site rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
GCSE Maths and English
Knowledge of basic engineering principles
Basic knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling CAD
Good communication skills, both written and spoken
Determination to achieve results
Good interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to work with others to meet deadlines
